Virginia Sneve, Resident of Westhills Village, did a book signing at the Prairie Edge for her 28th book! Virginia and her daughter embarked on a multi-state book tour to eight cities across 3 states in the Midwest finishing her tour at the Prairie Edge Saturday May 10.
The Book “Summer of the Bone Horses” focuses on a young boy who spends a summer living on the Rosebud Reservation with his grandparents following his father’s hospitalization. This story is inspired by her brother Edward’s real-life experiences on the reservation. Virginia has earned many awards for her writings including the National Endowment for the Humanities Medal from President Bill Clinton at the White House in Washington D.C. ( the first South Dakotan to receive this award).
