National Assisted Living Week at Westhills Village

It’s once again National Assisted Living Week! This annual occurrence celebrates residents, families, staff members, volunteers and the community—everyone involved in assisted living and care. The National Center for Assisted Living established National Assisted Living Week in 1995 to recognize everyone who comes together to make loving homes in long-term care. National Assisted Living Week encourages our country’s assisted living communities to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinctive aspect of long-term care. This year’s theme is “Season of Reflection.”

On Thursday, September 14th, 2023 Westhills Village celebrated National Assisted Living Week by hosting our first dinner in over four years! The Courtyard Assisted Living residents shared an elegant dinner accompanied with our friends, family and loved ones. Our new CEO, Tyler Donahue, warmly welcomed our large gathering and Pastor Larry Dahlstorm also attended, blessing our meal with a beautiful prayer. Westhills Village staff spent the festive evening pampering our honored guests with a delicious dinner, bountiful wine and a decadent pumpkin torte for dessert. We are so grateful to everyone who played a part in coming together to celebrate!
